Of the ancient Chinese girl

It was my first try to create a Chinese painting in following their traditional approach such as using certain Chinese brushes, Chinese watercolor paints and ink. It is also to the extent of how the brush should be held really vertically to the paper at a right angle in drawing and using two brushes in one hand when it comes to adding colors to the drawing. It took about four days to complete it.

Here's what it looked like before the colors were added to it.

Many layers needed. It was pretty a tight watercolor painting for Chinese painting.

Here are these people - a student from Suzhou University and my Mum plus my Dad that I'm really grateful for being given this much treasured opportunity to explore the style, techniques and discover the art of Chinese painting. I've had always been fascinated with how the Chinese paintings appeared so gentle, delicate and beautiful.
