A Maquette, Cranie

It was quite a good experience, using supersculpey to construct and sculpt Cranie in its simple silhouette. The essence of gesture, attitude and personality are really important to be shown in 3D form. Without them, it will not be a successful maquette. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and somehow, it reminded me of a famous road runner from Looney Tunes show. Much thanks to my awesome friend, Danny Samuels for his guidance besides having a cool teacher, Mr. Dominic Avant for my concept class.

Old Character Model Sheet, Cranie

The above drawing was the earliest character design of Cranie and the idea of its silhouette was drawn from the observation of the dead palm tree's leaf.
